Sacred Heart Catholic School

Drama Program

“We enrolled our daughter in Sacred Heart’s preschool program this past fall. I have been so impressed with the family atmosphere, even with the challenges of COVID not allowing adults to come inside the building or participate in traditional classroom activities. Sacred Heart really feels like a family. Parents and staff have all been so welcoming. Additionally, our daughter has made amazing strides academically. She has learned to write her name independently and identify letters based on the sounds they make, in just two short months. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to have our daughter attend Sacred Heart. Go Knights!”

About Drama Program

The third-grade class explores an introduction to drama through a puppet show presented to students from Preschool through 2nd grade. They learn the basics of stage direction, character study, backstage etiquette, and the importance of working together as a cast. Each student makes their own puppet in art class to keep after the performance.

Middle school students have access to a variety of elective classes, including a six-week drama course. Here, they develop leadership and collaborative skills through improv games, character study, scene work, and script writing.

Sacred Heart Catholic School has a long-standing tradition of performing a musical each spring. Rehearsals are held during school hours, with a weekend of performances on the first weekend of May. The 2025 musical selection is Annie. Previous productions have included Newsies, Peter Pan, and Shrek.
